Claudia Edwards is performing, teaching, and composing music at the crossroads of folk and chamber music in Glasgow, Scotland. Fusing her dual background as a folk fiddler and classical violinist, Claudia approaches cross-genre performance with enthusiasm, creativity, and a passion for collaboration. She premiered her first original work for solo violin and string orchestra, “Foundering,” in May 2025 at Glasgow Cathedral: collaborating with Scottish folk musicians, classical string players, Gaelic singing, and spoken word. Claudia completed her Artist Diploma at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in September 2025, where she was awarded the RCS Performance Prize for Traditional Music. She previously completed her Masters in Traditional Music at the RCS in June 2022, and a Bachelors in Music Education at the Florida State Univeristy College of Music in 2020. She has been featured in concerts across Scotland in her duo Vàgr (with cellist Joanna Stark), performing 18th-century Scottish music, works by contemporary composers, and original compositions.
